As someone who has had her fair share of tragedies and disillusionments in life, I do not think I have ever experienced a year like 2025. I am extremely happy to see it end, as it has brought nothing but the loss of a dear friend, disillusionment with people whom I thought were my friends, a shrinking economy, a sector in decline, a country on the brink of collapse, betrayal, theft, loss of a sense of home, and so much more.
As an antidote to the wretched heaviness of real life, here is a wonderful piece of dance from the brighter side of human experience, reminding us that art, love, and vitality are grander than darkness.
I hope 2026 can be a remedy for the souls of those of us who have been bruised by the crudeness of life, with its selfish, insensitive, and indifferent people disguised as friends and lovers. I really hope for a brighter 2026 for my country, which is on the brink of economic and humanistic collapse, and for the world, which has not only lost its mind but also its soul!
